Music City Auction Gives Nashville
Another Bonafied Antique Auction Venue.
Some Auctions are a Work of Art
Brothers in Law, Larry Weaver and Bobby Greer surprised Auctioneer Ben Bray in Lafayette, Tennessee with this very detailed diorama. The diorama depicts a beautiful spring day at a Ben Bray Auction.
You got to be doing something right as an auctioneer when a couple of guys, (one who works for you and one who attends your auctions), just decide to spend a lot of time and effort to build a really cool, very intricate
diorama depicting one of you’re auctions.
Larry Weaver and Bobby Greer, two very talent-
ed, local residents of Macon county are the
craftsmen/artists who created this stunning
auction scene. Larry and his wife have been
coming to Ben’s auctions for years while
Bobby has worked for Ben Bray Auction and
Realty for several years as a Ringman.
Larry and Bobbie are brothers in law and de-
cided to team together to make this one of a
kind dioramic scene. “Gosh, I gotta tell you
this was a complete surprise,” said auctio-
neer Ben Bray. “ I am really proud of it,” Ben
went on to say. So much so, Ben found a home for his, auction in a box, right on the front of the desk so it is the first thing everyone sees when they enter his Lafayette office.
We have been telling you how much fun an auction is, now people are making an art form of it!

diorama for Ben Bray
Other than a few plastic figures, the elements in this cool auction diorama were hand made by Larry Weaver and Bobbie Greer. The attention to detail is fabulous. The company sign on the auctioneers trailer is exact. The chairs, which had to be made by hand, are all lined up, waiting for the bidders to take their seats. This appears to be an estate sale as there are numerous household appliances and other personal property. Note the concession stand on the right. It is complete with mustard and ketchup bottles, two trash cans, a menu hanging outside the serving window and even a neighborhood dog begging for a treat.
